Pest Wars

We are doing the best we can to help the regeneration by reducing the number of pests so that the local bird life can thrive and flourish and help to spread the seeds.

Count of captured and killed pests since November 2006:

Magpies: 130
Possums: 260
Hares & Rabbits: 150 (Actually Loki brings in most of the rabbits.)
Rodents: Lots (The cats made me put this up, they are very proud.)

And to counteract the pests, we've been planting native trees.

Count of donated and planted native plants and trees since July 2007:

2017: 0 + 0 wood-lot trees
2016: 350 + 12 wood-lot trees
2015: 150 + 5 wood-lot trees
2014: 300 + 20 wood-lot trees
2013: 600 + 200 wood-lot trees
2012: 780 + 30 wood-lot trees
